We’re thrilled to share that our own Dave LoSavio has been nominated as Volunteer of the Year by the Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) - the leading chamber in Illinois! Earlier this year he said to Lisa Gilbert, the president of the association, that he was going to be faster and the best he can be. **He’s a large piece of three different parts of the association. **
First, as an ambassador, he works on onboarding new members. He shares the events to go to with them, how to gain value, and how to bring value to the SBA. Second, he works in membership where he helps retain and add new members and concentrates on how to bring the most value to the business community so members will want to stay.
Third, he’s also one of the Schaumburg Young Professionals. Dave is on the development committee, where he creates events that develop the local business community. The events they’ve been working on this year involve diversity, equity, and inclusion, and those events take plenty of work including setting up the event, inviting guests, and getting a panel together.
“It truly has been an honor to be serving in all three of those areas,” Dave says. We appreciate that he lives out the values of community and collaboration. Joe remembers when he was new to the SBA and there were about 100 people at the events. He truly appreciated his ambassador showing him the ropes, so he especially knows the value being an ambassador brings to the association.
Dave continues: “It all comes down to doing the right thing **and waking up in the morning and adding value to the community. And I know I’m doing my best to also bring that to our real estate clients.”
