We’ve been getting this question a lot lately: “What’s up with the market? Why is it so crazy?” The media likes to overcomplicate everything, but it’s pretty simple: Our crazy market is all due to supply and demand. We have about half the number of available homes for sale that we did last year.

We also have just 2.2 months’ worth of inventory in the market. That means if homes were to stop being listed today, in 2.2 months all of the homes would be sold. A neutral market has around six months of supply, but our 2.2-month supply puts us in a strong seller’s market.

“We have about half the number of available homes for sale that we did last year.”

Our market has shorter listing times and higher prices. This means it’s a great time to sell, especially with the Suburban Team of Mark Allen Realty.
